I love the Kobo

I love the Kobo. It was a little difficult to set up as I wanted to mainly download books from our regional library. Once I figured out how to do that all was good. It is easy to read and even fits in my small purse.

Recently purchased a Kobo Forma and…

Recently purchased a Kobo Forma and cover. Really enjoying the size and ease of use. The is probably my fifth Kobo reader. My last one was a Clara which was great but I wanted something bigger. I set it to factory reset and donated to a community of need.

Good buy!

Purchased: Refurbished Kobo Clara HD
I was looking for: Non-Amazon e-reader, compatible with Overdrive.
I like: Can check out Overdrive titles and read them instantly. Nice screen, good "sleep" settings, long battery life. Comparable price to competition.
Why not 5 stars? 2 things. 1. The clunky interface feels outdated and wouldn't be difficult to upgrade. Investing in the interface would easily make e-reader the best in its class! 2. The interface is centered around the Kobo bookstore. Would prefer if I didn't feel like even my e-reader is trying to sell me things!!
Would I recommend it? For sure, especially if you're looking for a way to reduce screen time and still read those library e-books!

Customer Service is an absolute joke

Customer Service is an absolute joke. A lot of back and forth and they never got back to me. 2 years later I still have a faulty Kobo that never worked. Really disappointed, do not recommend.

Love Kobo Products but...

Visually clearer than my six year old kobo. However, I do not like like the on/off switch. I read in bed and it's almost impossible to turnoff in the dark. Having it on top was much easier to find and use. I'm almost thinking I'd like to send it back because of that. Wouldn't recommend.

Love the overdrive feature

Love the overdrive feature. End it is so easy to use. Used it before on my iPad but on my kobo it is fabulous

I accidentally paid for a book rather…

I accidentally paid for a book rather than using a credit. I spoke to Edwing on chat and he sorted it out straight away! Could not be happier! Thank you for making it so easy!

Unexpected disappointment

The size of the screen turned yo need smaller than expected. The registration process appears to be unnecessary intrusive. Navigation is complicated. Turning pages requires substantial agility in fingers

Do Not Buy from Them

I bought two books from them and I forgotten my password. So when I was logging in I said that I forgot my password, it is already two weeks and I am still waiting for my password reset. They have a live chat on the website, but all you are talking to a computer.
If you need help there is no one to talk to.
This is my first and last purchase from them

Beware Kobo and their promises

Beware Kobo and their promises. I downloaded the app and paid for a book which I couldn't open. I talked to one of their customer service advisor and she couldn't help. Eventually, she promised to refund my purchase. 3 months later, no action. I don't blame her but clearly they're taught to lie and cheat as policy. I would give them a minus star if such a thing existed, not just for their rotten app but for their mendacity and truth twisting.

Pay to play.

Website is aggresively average. Does not offer anything too helpful. Should offer more. Does not even include the covers of books. Do not expect to get anything food for free here. Decent ebook prices
